Bankie Banx's Dune Preserve is one of the most legendary beach bars in the Caribbean, built on the beautiful white sands of Rendezvous Bay by reggae legend Bankie Banx. Crafted from driftwood, salvaged boats, and found beach materials, the open-air bar sprawls across the sand gazing out to St. Martin in the distance. CNN has voted it the #1 beach bar in the world. Bankie Banx performs live every Wednesday and Sunday. His son Omari Banks performs every Friday and Saturday. The bar is open daily except Monday from noon to sunset for drinks and Caribbean light fare including tropical cocktails, local seafood, BBQ ribs, and Caribbean favorites. Live music nights run Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9pm. Sunday features live music from noon to sunset. The Dune is also home to Moonsplash, Anguilla's premier live music festival held annually in March. Famous guests who have performed here include Jimmy Buffett, Marcia Griffiths, and John Mayer.
