We collect information you provide directly to us when you contact us, submit the contact, advertising, or sponsorship forms, sign up for ferry alerts, create a partner, advertiser, or taxi operator account, or request a charter booking. This includes your name, email address, phone number where you give it, business details, and the content of your message. If you book a charter, buy an advertising or taxi operator plan, or support the project through a paid contribution, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Taxi operators who use our operator portal store their business profile, driver and vehicle details and photos, and the bookings they enter, which can include their customers' names, phone numbers, pickup details, and fares. Operators control that information, and we process it only to provide the portal.
We automatically collect technical and usage information when you browse the website, including browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring pages, clicks on links and ads, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We collect this through:
- Our own analytics, which records page views and clicks with a random identifier stored in your browser, a hashed (not raw) IP address, and approximate location. We use it to understand how the site is used and to report ad and partner performance.
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which run on every page and do not use cookies.
- PostHog and Google Analytics, which use cookies and run only if you accept analytics cookies.
