Sourced from operator communications and terminal notices, cross-referenced against direct observation at Blowing Point and Marigot.

Fares & departure taxes

Based on Anguilla's published departure fees, the Marigot port exit fee, and operator-confirmed fare information.

Beach & sea conditions

Model estimates from Open-Meteo marine and weather forecasts, adjusted for coastal exposure. Not on-site measurements.

01 · How we source timetables

Ferry Schedules

Ferry schedule information on Anguilla Ferry Times is compiled from multiple sources to maximize accuracy:

Direct operator communications from GB Ferries, Funtime Charters, and Calypso Charters.

Public schedule announcements posted at Blowing Point Ferry Terminal and Marigot Bay Ferry Terminal.

First-hand observation of operating departure windows during peak and off-peak seasons.

Community reports from frequent ferry users and local residents.

Ferry schedules in Anguilla are not published to a single official real-time feed. Operators may adjust departure times, add crossings, or reduce service without public notice — particularly during public holidays, peak season, or adverse weather. We update schedules as changes are reported or discovered, and we always advise travelers to confirm directly with the terminal or their chosen operator before travel.

Countdown, boarding, and arrival estimates are calculated from the timetable, not GPS tracking or confirmation that a vessel has moved. Service notices are published separately as reports reach us. An operator-reported update means the notice identifies an operator as its source; other notices may come from terminal or community reports. No posted disruption does not confirm an on-time departure.

Ferry fare and departure tax information is sourced from:

The Anguilla government's published departure fees at Blowing Point (EC$ and US$ amounts, adult/child rates).

The €7 port exit fee charged at Marigot, which is set on the St. Martin side, not by Anguilla.

Operator-published fare information for shared and private crossings.

Terminal fare board information observed directly at Blowing Point.

Departure fees are set by the Anguilla government and the Marigot port, and are subject to change. Euro amounts are converted to US dollars at a fixed planning rate, so the dollar figure you pay may differ slightly. Fare amounts charged by private charters vary by operator and group size. Always confirm current fares and taxes at the terminal or with your operator before purchase.

03 · How calmness scores work

Beach & Sea Conditions

Beach calmness scores and sea condition data are model estimates using Open-Meteo marine and weather forecasts, not on-site sensors or lifeguard observations. The data inputs include:

Wave height (significant wave height in meters).

Swell direction and period.

Wind speed and direction.

Coastal exposure of each tracked beach (north, south, east, or west facing).

Each beach is scored on a calmness scale based on these forecast inputs, weighted for that beach's coastal exposure. A north-facing beach will score differently than a south-facing beach under the same conditions. Scores update throughout the day as API data refreshes.

Calmness scores are intended for general planning guidance only. Ocean conditions can change rapidly. Always use your own judgment and heed any local advisories or posted warnings before entering the water.

04 · Fare estimation methodology

Taxi Fares

Taxi fare estimates on Anguilla Ferry Times are based on the official Anguilla Taxi Association published rate schedule, which sets regulated fares for routes between key zones on the island. Our estimator maps destinations to their respective fare zones and applies the published rates.

Taxi fares in Anguilla are regulated but may vary for:

Evening surcharge: +$4 from 6:00 PM to midnight.

Late-night surcharge: +$15 from midnight to 6:00 AM.

Extra passengers: +$5 per person after the first 2.

Extra luggage: +$2 per bag after the first 2.

Hourly hire, tours, and advance-booking arrangements, which are agreed with the driver.

Always confirm the fare with your driver before departure. Our estimates are for planning purposes only.

Flights & Weather

Some pages use data from third-party services:

Flight arrival and departure boards come from AeroDataBox. Airlines can change or cancel flights at short notice, so check with your airline.

Flight prices come from Travelpayouts (Aviasales) and are refreshed daily. They reflect fares other travelers searched recently, so they can be out of date; many smaller routes show a typical fare instead of a live price.

Weather forecasts come from Open-Meteo.

06 · How listings are compiled

Restaurant & Business Listings

Restaurant, bar, car rental, and business listings on Anguilla Ferry Times are compiled from a combination of:

Publicly available business information.

Direct submissions or corrections from business owners.

Community and traveler reports.

Editorial review to ensure minimum content quality standards.

We acknowledge that listing data — particularly opening hours, menus, and contact details — can become outdated. If you find an error in a listing, please use our contact page to report it. We review and update confirmed corrections promptly.

How Often We Update

Different content types are updated on different cycles:

Sea conditions and beach calmness: updated throughout the day from forecast APIs.

Flight prices: refreshed daily; flight arrival and departure boards: refreshed from AeroDataBox at most every 30 minutes.

Ferry schedules: reviewed when changes are reported or on a regular editorial cycle.

Fares and departure taxes: reviewed when government or operator updates are published.

Guides and articles: reviewed at minimum annually, or sooner if underlying facts change.

Listings: updated when corrections are received or on editorial review cycles.

High-stakes pages display a “Last reviewed” date so readers can see when information was last verified by our editorial team.
