View Charter OptionsThe public ferry is usually the best value. A charter makes more sense when convenience, timing, or group comfort matters more than the lowest possible fare.
A charter may help if your flight lands after the last public ferry (6:00 PM from Marigot / 5:15 PM from Blowing Point).
For families or groups, a private transfer can sometimes feel smoother even when it costs more.
A charter can reduce friction if you are traveling with extra bags, kids, wedding luggage, or sports gear.
If timing matters, a charter departing near SXM airport can give you more control than waiting for the next public ferry.
A few simple habits can prevent surprises at the terminal and help you budget the full journey.

Children, residents, and day-trippers have different tax categories depending on route and terminal. See the fee tables above for the full breakdown.
Private and shared charter prices can change based on provider, route, timing, number of passengers, and luggage. The figures above are planning estimates only.
Use the calculator, carry cash for fares and taxes, and compare the public ferry against charter options if your arrival time or group size makes the standard route less convenient.
