Straw Hat Restaurant has been enchanting visitors to Anguilla since 1996 from its stunning beachfront location at Frangipani Beach Resort on Meads Bay. Conde Nast Traveler named Straw Hat one of the 50 Hot New Restaurants of the World. The restaurant sources fresh local ingredients from island farmers and fishermen whenever possible, including fresh Island Harbour eggs and hand-caught lobster and crayfish. The menu features something for everyone across breakfast, lunch, a late afternoon menu served 3:00pm to 5:30pm, dinner, dessert, and a dedicated kids menu. Breakfast highlights include the Lobster Johnny Cake Benedict with local Anguilla lobster and pesto hollandaise, the Meads Bay Seafood Frittata with shrimp and local lobster, fresh smoothies, and eggs any style. Lunch features salads, sandwiches, burgers, small plates including the Big Eye Tuna Flatbread and Caribbean Fish Tacos, and large plates including Straw Hat Seafood Pasta and Curried Goat. The late afternoon menu runs from 3:00pm to 5:30pm with snacks, salads, burgers, and the fish sandwich. Dinner highlights include the Ahi Tuna Tartar, Conch Potstickers, Curry Goat Empanadas, Grilled Local Crayfish at $65, Grilled Anguillian Lobster at approximately 2 lbs for $60, Seared Tuna, the New York Strip Certified Angus Beef at $47, and Vegan Pumpkin Curry Dumplings. The cocktail menu confirmed from the official November 2025 PDF includes Straw Hat Signatures such as Ti Punch, Rum Punch, Meads Bay Breeze, Island Passion, Kool Me Off, and Titos and Ting, as well as frozen cocktails, mojitos, margaritas, martinis, and a full beer selection with Heineken draught.
