Karaya is a celebrated beachfront Mediterranean restaurant directly on the sands of Shoal Bay West, Anguilla, opened in November 2025 by Chef Carrie Bogar and Jerry Bogar, the award-winning team behind Veya, SandBar, and Meze. Named for the Taino-Arawak word meaning moonlight, Karaya blends Mediterranean soul with fresh Caribbean ingredients, herbs from the Bogars own garden, and the daily catch. Chef de Cuisine is Joel Reyes. Every bread is baked in house, every pasta made fresh each afternoon, and every dessert crafted by the kitchen. The 300+ bottle wine cellar and rare amari selection complement a menu that spans yellowfin tuna crudo, charred octopus with white beans, handmade cavatelli with clams, pappardelle with lamb shank ragout, fettuccine with lobster and lobster bisque sauce, grilled local crayfish and lobster, New Zealand lamb chops, plancha mahi, and iconic desserts including the s'mores with homemade marshmallows and the rum baba. Beachside toes-in-the-sand seating and private event experiences are available. Open daily for lunch 11am-3pm, dinner 6pm-10pm, and bar 11am-10pm. Reservations strongly recommended.
