Jacala Beach Restaurant is widely regarded as one of the finest dining destinations in Anguilla and one of the most consistently celebrated beachfront restaurants in the Caribbean. Set in a Moroccan-inspired open-air pavilion directly on the powdery sands of Meads Bay, with ceiling fans, sea breezes, and uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea, Jacala seats only 35 people at a time. Opened in January 2010 by former Malliouhana food and beverage directors Alain Laurent and Jacques Borderon, the restaurant has attracted the most discerning palates in the world -- Martha Stewart declared it her favorite in all of the Caribbean. Chef Alain Laurent's menu is a refined, elegant interpretation of French-Caribbean cuisine. Entrees include Fettuccine Pasta ($19), Calamari Risotto Provencale ($27), Lobster Fricassee with coconut milk bisque ($49), Olive Oil Poached Mahi-Mahi ($38), Seared Tuna Loin ($38), Local Snapper Fillet grilled or Meuniere ($39), Grilled Crayfish with lemon or garlic butter ($58), Filet Mignon with Marchand de Vin sauce ($59), the legendary JACALA Steak Tartare prepared tableside ($45), Pan Roasted Pork Tenderloin ($37), Roasted Breast of Chicken stuffed with lobster mousse ($39), and Pepper Crusted Black Angus Sirloin Steak ($47).
