Fort St. Louis is the historic French fort built in 1789 on the hill above Marigot, reached by a short steep climb from the town or market. The ruins are free to visit and reward you with panoramic views over Marigot Bay, the lagoon, Anguilla and, on clear days, the sunset. Wear good shoes and bring water.
