The Blowing Point Ferry Terminal sits on the same side of the island as some of Anguilla's calmest and most visitor-friendly beaches. If you just arrived by ferry, the West End is your easiest first beach stop.
These beaches are close enough for a quick taxi ride, easy rental car stop, or first beach day after arriving in Anguilla.

Both options work. Choose a taxi for one simple beach stop, or rent a car if you want to explore several beaches, restaurants, and viewpoints.
Pick up a rental car near or around the ferry terminal. This gives you the freedom to explore multiple West End beaches, stop for lunch, and continue across the island at your own pace.
Best if you want to visit more than one beach
Great for families carrying bags, towels, or snorkeling gear
More flexible for sunset stops and dinner plans
Taxis are usually available around the terminal. This is a good choice if you want one simple beach visit without worrying about driving, parking, or directions.
Best for a quick visit to Rendezvous Bay or Maundays Bay
Useful if you are not comfortable driving on the left
Ask the driver about return pickup before they leave
It is close to the ferry terminal, calm enough for an easy first swim, and gives you that classic Anguilla beach feeling almost immediately after arrival.
Common questions about beaches near Blowing Point ferry terminal.
Not comfortably — Blowing Point itself is a ferry dock, not a beach destination. The nearest swimmable beaches are Rendezvous Bay and Cove Bay, each about 5–10 minutes by taxi. It's worth arranging a transfer directly from the ferry rather than expecting to walk to the water.
Rendezvous Bay is the closest quality beach — approximately a 5-minute taxi ride from the terminal. It's a long, calm, south-facing stretch with gentle water, ideal for swimming. Cove Bay is similarly close and quieter, with good snorkeling near its rocky edges. Both are excellent first-day beaches given how quickly you can reach them after arriving.
Taxis are available at Blowing Point immediately after ferry arrival — fixed rates are posted at the terminal. Meads Bay is approximately 10–15 minutes away; Shoal Bay East is 20–25 minutes. If you're renting a car, most rental companies can meet you at the ferry or arrange pickup from your accommodation.
There are no formal luggage storage facilities at Blowing Point. Most hotels and villas will hold your bags if you're arriving before check-in. Some visitors take a taxi to their accommodation first, drop luggage, and then head straight to the beach — which is the most practical approach given how quickly you can be beach-side after landing.
