If you are flying into St. Maarten SXM, the usual route is to take a taxi (~30 minutes) to Marigot on the French side, pay the departure fees at the terminal, and ride across to Blowing Point Ferry Terminal in Anguilla. No advance booking is required for the public ferry.
The crossing itself takes about 20 minutes, but your full travel time also depends on immigration, baggage claim, taxi transfer, departure taxes, ferry timing, and your onward transportation after arriving in Anguilla. The terminal in Marigot is open daily from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

From Anguilla to the French side, the adult visitor departure tax is $28 USD. Taxes must be paid in the required currency (see pricing page).
