Andy's Auto Rentals has worked the Blowing Point ferry terminal since 1998, and the proposition is as simple as it gets on this island: you step off the boat from Marigot, Andy or a member of Team Andy's is standing just outside the terminal, and you drive away. No taxi, no shuttle, no phone call from a car park. Given that most visitors to Anguilla arrive by sea rather than by air, and that the ferry terminal and the airport sit on opposite coasts about fifteen minutes apart, that is the whole ball game for a lot of trips. Andy's also carries the most reviews of any operator in this directory, 4.5 across 124, which on a small island over nearly thirty years is a harder number to accumulate than a perfect score from a handful. What comes with the car. Unlimited free mileage, a free island road map, free emergency roadside assistance, air conditioning and power steering across the fleet. Rates start at $35 a day for an economy car, and the Jeep Wrangler at $60 is the cheapest Wrangler in this directory. The fleet spans economy compacts, mid-size sedans, convertibles, SUVs, Wranglers and vans, in both right and left hand drive. That last point matters more than it sounds: Anguilla drives on the left under British road rules, and a right hand drive car puts you on the correct side of the road for it. Much of the island rents left hand drive stock by default, which is the harder combination. Andy's will let you choose, so say which you want when you book. Now the arithmetic, because this is where Andy's is more honest than most and where you need to pay attention. The $35 is before tax. A 13 percent GST is applied to all rentals, which Andy's notes has been mandatory since January 2025. Insurance is optional at $10 a day with a $1,000 deductible, published up front rather than sprung on you at the counter. Credit cards are accepted, Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover, but they carry a 5 percent surcharge. Cash does not. That is unusual on this island and it is real money: on a week with insurance, paying cash saves you roughly the cost of a day's beach gear. Delivery anywhere on the island is free on rentals of five days or more; under five days it is $15 to deliver and $15 to collect. Gasoline is not included and the car comes back at the fuel level it left at. The one that catches people. Rental days are counted per calendar day, not by the clock. Pick up at two in the afternoon and drop off at ten the next morning and you have had the car for two days, not one. Most visitors assume twenty-four hour billing because that is how it works at home. Plan your collection and return around this rather than discovering it on the invoice. Two other numbers worth carrying: excessive dirt or trash is a flat $25, and a lost chipped key is $300 to $1,000. The extras, which are the actual reason regulars use Andy's. Beach gear from $8 a day gets you two chairs and an umbrella. That sounds like an upsell until you know that only three of Anguilla's thirty-three beaches have chair rentals on site, which means for the other thirty you either bring your own or sit on the sand. Snorkelling gear and SIM cards are available too, child and booster seats are $8 a day, and the Blowing Point location carries drinks, ice cream and snacks. Nobody else here is set up to hand you a car, two beach chairs, a snorkel and a cold drink at the terminal door and send you straight to Shoal Bay.
