Getting to Anguilla has always required a little patience. Most travelers flew into St. Maarten, collected their bags, cleared immigration, and then found their way to a ferry or a short connecting flight before finally reaching the island. It worked, but it added hours and uncertainty to a trip that should begin the moment you land.
That changed in December 2025 when BermudAir launched AnguillAir, a dedicated brand bringing nonstop service from three U.S. East Coast cities directly to Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport in Anguilla. Newark was first, launching December 18. Boston followed on December 17, and Baltimore on December 19. For travelers across the Northeast, it is the most straightforward path to the island that has ever existed.

AnguillAir is operated by BermudAir and offers nonstop service to Anguilla from Newark (EWR), Boston (BOS), and Baltimore/Washington (BWI), operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.
Which U.S. Cities Have Direct Flights to Anguilla
AnguillAir currently serves three East Coast departure cities, each designed to pull from a broad regional catchment without forcing travelers through a major hub.
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) covers the New York metro area, including New Jersey, Connecticut, and New York City itself. Flights depart at 10:30 AM and arrive in Anguilla at 4:00 PM. The return departs Anguilla at 7:35 PM, landing back at Newark at 11:00 PM.
Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) serves New England, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) covers Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic region.
For travelers coming from elsewhere in the U.S., American Airlines also operates nonstop flights to Anguilla from Miami, making it the only other carrier with direct U.S. service to the island.
AnguillAir operates on Embraer E175 and E190 aircraft, configured with two cabin classes. The planes are well suited to Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport, which has limited runway capacity for larger jets.
Launch Pricing: What Fares Looked Like at Launch
At launch in December 2025, AnguillAir's lowest fare option was Economy Light. On the inaugural December 18 outbound flight from Newark, Economy Light fares started at approximately US$199 one way. The return on December 25 started at approximately US$179 one way, putting the lowest possible roundtrip at around US$378 per adult before local departure fees.
Current fares will vary by travel date and availability. For up-to-date pricing, book directly through AnguillAir Holidays at flyanguillair.com, where you can also bundle airfare with hotel accommodations.
What Economy Light Includes
Economy Light covers one personal item and one carry-on bag, space permitting. Seat selection, checked baggage, lounge access, and itinerary changes are available for additional fees. The fare is non-refundable and does not include travel credit or priority boarding. It suits travelers packing light who are comfortable with fixed dates and want the lowest possible fare.
Economy Max: More Flexibility, Higher Price
At launch, Economy Max fares on the Newark route were priced at approximately US$589 outbound and US$489 return, putting a one-week roundtrip at around US$1,078 per adult. That fare included a checked bag, seat selection, priority boarding, no change fees, and full refundability.
Economy Light is the lowest entry price. Economy Max is worth considering for peak season travel or anyone who might need to adjust dates after booking.
Why a Direct Flight Actually Changes the Trip
The practical difference is larger than it looks on paper. Routing through St. Maarten typically means two separate immigration processes, a baggage transfer, and finding a ferry or charter flight on a schedule that does not always cooperate. A direct flight removes all of that. You board in Newark and step off in Anguilla.
For families traveling with children, older travelers, anyone with mobility considerations, and honeymooners who would rather not start their trip navigating a ferry terminal, the value of that simplicity is hard to overstate.
Where to Stay After You Land
Anguilla offers accommodation across a wide range: luxury beachfront resorts, boutique hotels, and private villa rentals. Meads Bay on the northwest coast and Shoal Bay on the northeast are the two most popular areas, each with their own character and dining options within easy reach of the airport.
With direct flights increasing access from the Northeast, December through March inventory fills quickly. Booking accommodations at the same time as flights is the safest approach for peak season travel.
When to Visit
December through April is peak season in Anguilla. Temperatures stay warm, humidity is low, and beach conditions are generally excellent. Pack light clothing, reef-safe sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. If you are visiting during the summer, the Anguilla Summer Festival in August is one of the island's best cultural events, though hurricane season runs July through November.
The Bottom Line
AnguillAir, operated by BermudAir, is a genuine shift in how accessible Anguilla is from the U.S. Northeast. Three direct routes, twice-weekly service, and a clear fare structure mean that for the first time, booking a trip to Anguilla does not require building in a half-day buffer for connections and ferries. You leave Newark in the morning and you are on the island by mid-afternoon.
